At first we were kind of sad when we realized we were by ourselves for Thanksgiving. Then, we got very excited about four whole days together with an excuse to just be lazy and not feel like we need to be busy being productive. We ended up having a delightful weekend!

Thanksgiving day I got to have a nice long run (without a stroller) and Mike played football. He had the only injury in the Yankee Yill ward, but don't worry, it's only a sprain.

We had a delicious feast with just our little family, followed by a movie and naps for all! We continued in the Christensen tradition and had a nice pie to adult ratio-- two pies, two adults!

We had a great time watching the BYU/Utah game with a fun family in our ward; however, our weekend ended on a sick note. Andrew woke up Sunday morning at 2 a.m. sick! I stayed home from church with him hoping he had just eaten too much pizza the night before. The puking continued until this morning, just in time for Mike to pick up where Andrew left off. Mike stayed home from work today, but was feeling well enough to run out and get a Christmas tree this evening before the temps drastically drop tomorrow.

Andrew was very curious about the Christmas tree and was quite the little helper in getting it set up. We're planning on decorating it when Mike is feeling better. No flu bug for me so far, and I'm determined to keep it that way!

Mike-I couldn't tell if your injury was your puffy red lips or a sprained finger!! I noticed in your other pictures that it was the latter.
I am glad that you guys had a good Thanksgiving. Andrew is so adorable! Is he walking yet? He is one physically advanced little kid.
hardy har har har!
mike...you look very sophisticated with your glasses on
matt....i couldn't tell if it was the puffy red lips, sprained finger, or BUG EYES!!??! I think his eyes were back to normal in the later pictures.
Looks like you had a fun thanksgiving together with just your little family.
Thanks for letting me know you "blogged." I LOVE that picture of Andrew reading books and then his curiosity at the tree stand. He seemed very interested and acted like he was enjoying everything that was going on! Sorry about your finger Mike. Did anyone think to say that, or are we just making fun???? Did I mention...we had 6 pies for 7 people, so your ratio is wins the prize!! I tried to talk a few of our kids out of their pies, only to realize that was definitely a fun tradition in our home to get ANY Pie they want. Why would I let practicality take over on Thanksgiving Day of all times????!!
Nice guys! I'm impressed with how nice your dinner looked! Not bad and lots of leftovers probably, too eh?
I know...I'm sorry! After I wrote that I wondered why I didn't just say I'm sorry. Please forgive me for my bug eyes comment.
Real nice Alisa...I wasn't going to mention the bug eyes! But now that the cat is out of the bag, we need to apologize so mom can sleep at nights. Sorry about the finger Mike!!
