Mike and Matt's big 30!!

We've been looking forward to this last weekend for months! Mike and Matt have shared the majority of their birthdays together, but the last few years have been hit and miss. Camie and I agreed that we definitely needed to get together to celebrate turning 30!! So, this weekend we headed up to Minneapolis to spend a few days with our favorite twin family! Camie and I have a few pictures of us making these same two cakes for our men. I'll have to admit, Camie's cake is a bit more tramatic to make than mine!As Camie and I were talking about gifts for Mike and Matt, we realized we were both looking for down vests! So, they got matching vests!! Definitely worth doing a chest bump for. And, then we happened to find matching vests for us too! The vests were a hit with everyone!
Don't they just look cute?! They were so happy to play football together Saturday morning and then came home for a yummy breakfast and...some stretching! Mike and Matt both employed their boys to help them stretch so they could walk the next day. Clayton and Andrew definitely had their work cut out for them. This is definitely how you know you're getting old!

The kids played so well together and had just as much fun as the adults.I think it's funny how Camie and I had all these grand plans (most of which came to fruition); however, some things got tossed out the window because we realize that it's not quite like the BYU days of chili in the canyon, walking to football games (well two of us did), and family parties sans children. We have FIVE kids and one on the way! We can stay up late for two nights, but on the third night, we still want to hang out with each other, but all zonk out on the couch within minutes of turning on ESPN. Our birthday party games were downsized to "pin the party hat on Mike and Matt". Meal times were loud and eventful and diapers were in abundance! Although it's more work and chaos, it's definitely more fun to get together as our families grow. Thanks for such a great weekend guys, we love you!!

I have enjoyed catching up on your blogs! What great entries! I'll have to admit I got a little teary-eyed as I saw my birthday boys with their vests, my grandchildren in Halloween costumes, etc.!! What a great family I am a part of! Love you guys a LOT!
