Lights at Temple Square

The Monday after Thanksgiving, we headed to SLC to meet up with Mike's parents and his brother's family to see the lights at Temple Square. We had dinner at the Lion House (my boys were a little disappointed when there weren't real lions in the restaurant! Ha!) and then headed out in the cold to see the beautiful lights. We haven't been in years, and were in awe at how many lights they put up on Temple Square.

We waited for a little while so we could hear the narration to the life-size nativity. As I sat and listened, I got choked up thinking of Mary and her long, pregnant ride to Bethlehem. She delivered the Son of God in a stable. My rounded belly seemed to have it so easy compared to the rough accommodations for Mary. It was a lovely and touching evening for all of us!
