This was such a special trip for our family. Grandma and grandpa Evelyn had never met any of our children, and grandma and grandpa Tibbitts had only met Andrew. We loved introducing our children to our grandparents!

Grandparents in CA
This year BYU's MBA program gave students a week off to make "business trips", which we did for two days, but we also spent seven days in CA! First we drove to Hemet to visit Mike's grandparents and we had such a nice visit seeing their new home, going to dinner with them, and then joining Tal and Regina at a Hemet High football game. Oh ya, good ol' high school football!
Here are the boys checking out their great grandma's tea set she played with as a child.
Grandma and Grandpa are known for their pantry being well stocked with...candy! This is where Mom C. gets her sweet tooth! Great Grandma gave each of our boys a ziplock bag and let them fill it with as much candy as they could.
Reid's bag was so full we couldn't zip it closed, so I went to help him only to realize he had all his candy that was half eaten! I asked if he had started eating already and he said he hadn't. Then grandpa piped in and it turns out he sneaks a few bites here and there and then puts the candy back! Reid just happened to pick up all of grandpa's half eaten candy!

Our next stop was in Bakersfield to visit my grandparents. Grandma and grandpa still live in their one bedroom home with grandpa's beautiful garden, flowers in the front, and fruits and veggies in the back.

Mike took the boys to get lunch while Amelia and I stayed behind. It was great to look around my grandparents home and reminisce the visits of my childhood.
