Happy Birthday Andrew

We can hardly believe that Andrew is already one year old! We had a great time celebrating his birthday. We started the day with a pancake breakfast and then gave Andrew his first haircut. He was really in need of a cut, but I couldn't do it until he was one! He did great and looks so cute and handsome!
We opened presents and Andrew loved his new bike and he especially loves his barn from Grandma and Grandpa C. Of course we had to take Andrew to Coldstone to redeem his free ice cream with their birthday club! He ate a lot of ice cream! Sunday, we had a couple of families over and had cake and ice cream. Mike was disappointed that I didn't make a football or basketball cake for Andrew's birthday. I told him there would be plenty of footballs and basketballs to come and that a fish was just fine for a one year old birthday. Andrew didn't get into the cake too much. I think he takes after his daddy and doesn't like to be dirty!

Liz--that cake is adorable. I love it! I'm thinking Clayton will probably just get a cupcake for his first birthday! Where did you get that idea?

Happy Birthday to Andrew! His new haircut looks cute. I'm with Camie and I love the cake! What a cute idea. Also, I love the pictures of Andrew walking. Looks like fun...I am sure it is a blessing and a curse having a child be more mobile, but I really look forward to Jackson being able to get himself around sometimes.

Lizzie, I am so impressed with the cake. Nicely done! I'm also glad Andrew could wait until his first birthday to get a haircut...Calvin will probably have at least a few more before he's one!

What a cutie! I love the cake too. And your kitchen (I know that's random, but you can see it in the background and I like it! You can tell I'm in house-hunting mode right now).

What a fun birthday for Andrew! Can you believe these little boys are all turning one. It is crazy how fast a year goes by. We love you tons and can't wait to catch up on things. Andrew is a doll, like I have said before I can't wait to actually meet him.

I know what you are saying about the fish cake. For Evan's first birthday it was a yellow duckie in a bed of green coconut grass. For his first Halloween he was also a bumble bee...neither of them too masculine, yet!
