Big Mama!

Today I had a doctor's appointment and in the words of my doctor, I've "had a big growth spurt!" I am 19 weeks along and I'm measuring 26 weeks! I knew I had grown, but was surprised at how much I had grown.

I was just telling Mike the other night that I felt like I was getting big so fast. He then asked me where I got my green striped spandex, which were actually my pajama pants! It was actually quite funny and we both got a good kick out of his joke. However, I did warn him that most wives would not tollerate such joking about getting huge and there is a time and a place for such funny comments (translation: that was funny, but no more jokes!). In honor of my bigness, I cashed in on the gift certificate for a pedicure that Mike gave me for Mother's Day. Mike took Andrew for the evening and I had a wonderful visit to the nail salon and it felt sooooo good to be pampered!

I totally remember hitting a growth spurt around 17 or 18 weeks. My skin felt sometimes like it was literally being pulled and stretched each day. Eating really felt like a part-time job for those months.

Congratulations, we're very excited for you. The "you're about to pop!" comments start really early with twins - I'm always amazed at what complete strangers say to a pregnant woman! One of our sunday school teachers called her 'the Human Condominium.' Take plenty of pictures, they're fun to look at later
