She's gone!

This morning we all stood on the driveway with tears in our eyes as we hugged and said goodbye to Mom C. We feel so blessed that she so selflessly came to take care of our family for five weeks! I will never forget the sense of relief I felt when Mike told me she was on her way. I was on bedrest, with half of a face (due to my lovely Bell's Palsy). Mike was swamped at work and we were surviving on grilled cheese and quesadillas (not ideal when trying to grow two babies). She saved the day! This image will be forever imprinted in my memory (which says a great deal considering how many drugs I was on at the time)! Mom C., the ultimate twin mama, stood over our little babies for the first time and tears flowed. She had such a sense of excitement and love for us and our family, and was also very nostalgic about her own twins.
Every morning, Mom C. and Andrew would head out for their walk together. She broke her toe just a few days before leaving, but was determined to take Andrew for their walk at least one more time. Broken toe and all, they headed out and completed the full three miles and even fed the ducks!
Mom C. loves to see the boys all snuggled close to each other, which is how they are happiest So, here are a few pictures of our boys just for her! Tanner on the left, Reid on the right.

It is still so unreal to me that you have two little babies. Those pictures are all so sweet. I am so happy Teresa was able to help for so long.

Oh my gosh. What a special bond those two have. Thanks for sharing. Those pictures will make everybody fall in love with them. Wow, they are so precious. You should be proud. And you are my hero for surviving bedrest with a toddler, Bell's Palsy, natural birth and a c-section, and now taking care of 3 babies.

Your boys are perfect! I cry whenever I read your blog--especially when Teresa left. I remember how overwhelming it feels to be on your own. If anyone can do it, you can Liz. You are incredible!
