Sunday Best

Aren't they adorable?! I could seriously squeeze these boys all day! Tanner and Reid got new church clothes from grandma and grandpa for their birthday, and I couldn't help but buy another argyle sweater vest for Andrew. Little boys in argyle melt my heart!
We were fifteen minutes into church, when they announced that there was smoke in the building and we were dismissed from all meetings. We called it a "tender mercy", as we hadn't seen Mike all week long. So, we headed home, changed our clothes, and drove to Hobble Creek Canyon for a family outing.

It was beautiful! The trees are changing colors and it was so peaceful to be in the mountains with just our little family. No cell phones, no laptop, no disruptions, just us. I crave moments like this! The boys were in heaven throwing rocks in a stream and we all could have stayed all day. I love when the simple things are so entertaining and wonderful!
Note: No worries, our church building is still standing.

I love that picture of your boys, and I am with you....i love when we take opportunities to go and get away from "life"....even if it is just for an afternoon....it just is re-juvinating to really enjoy each other....especially when you aren't expecting to be able to do it!
