Columbus, OH Temple
Last Saturday we made the trip to Columbus to attend the temple. The picture below makes me laugh! In order to be able to attend together, Mike and I swapped kids with some friends who are also here for a P&G internship. We watched six kids, the oldest being four years old, while they did a session. Then they did the same while we attended a session. It was a lot of work for us, but being in the temple is something very important to me and Mike. It was a definitely worth it.
Mike has Amelia strapped to the front of him, while the other five kiddos follow behind. We walked around the temple grounds and then played in a stream and field nearby. We got rained on quite a bit, but it all worked out.
We were getting ready to switch places and Andrew came back to the pavilion where we were hanging out and had the biggest smile on his face. He said, "Mom, it's so funny, dad forgot his white shirt! He's just wearing his normal shirt with his church clothes." Mike came around the bend and we both started laughing. Luckily, Ben was kind enough to give him the shirt off his back when we were handing off the kids.
Not the greatest picture, but it documents that we were there as a family.

How fun! We actually just did that today (Temple/babysit swap) at the Bismarck ND temple. Makes for a long day, but well worth it. Cute photos!
Good for you guys to make it happen and go!!! I love the picture of Mike!!! LOL!!!
Hi Liz! Love the temple swap! I will carve out time to call you back one of these days. Thanks for calling - it was just great to hear your voice. I'm in that newborn haze but enjoying every minute of it. I'm so happy that internship life is good - live it up!
Looks like you are having a great time this summer. We drove through Cleveland on our way to Kirtland. We wish we had remembered you guys were there. We didn't think about it until we were on our way home through Canada.
We just went to the Columbus temple today :) After the 2 1/2 hour drive there it sure makes you grateful for all the temples so close in Utah! Jack & I were planning on taking turns watching Jackson, but we ended up leaving him with some other family (who we didn't know) in the church right there.
Hi there! Do you know the Duplisea's?? He is in a bishopric there and he was out Branch President here in Budapest, but went back there. They were here with P&G. AWESOME family!! Hope he likes his internship...
