Days go by...

In my life as a mother, there are moments that seem to last forever, yet all together, time seems to be passing too quickly. I often wonder what I'll remember when I look back on these years of little ones in our home. I hope this is what I remember:
Special trips to the donut shop and the pure delight on Andrew's face as he gets to pick his own donut. He sits down at a table and carefully eats his donut one bite at a time.
Long walks and feeding the ducks.
Sidewalk chalk on the driveway and on Andrew from head to toe.
Forts made of laundry baskets, chairs, and blankets. A perfect place for hanging out with safari animals, books and "beans"--Andrew will be awfully surprised someday when he asks someone for beans and he gets lima beans instead of jelly beans!

I won't pretend our family is perfect, or this is easy (please refer to earlier post about cleaning up poop and screaming babies). In fact, it's hard! This is the hardest thing I've ever done in my life, but I love spending my days with these boys. This picture just makes me smile...with a big smile, accompanied by a giggle.

You actaully made me teary eyed Lizzie! Some of the things you wrote are things I have been thinking lately. Way to be a supermom!

I love this post! I can completely realate. These are such wonderful times. Sure they are challenging too, but I know when they are over I will miss them so much! I am so grateful to be able to stay at home with my kids and not miss out on a thing. They are growing and changing every day. Happy six months to the twins---quite a milestone!
