Sunday Walk

Mike has been serving as the bishop of our ward since last May and it's definitely been an adjustment for the whole family.  He's been very busy and is gone a lot, but we've finally gotten into a groove with his new schedule.  In November, we had stake conference and that means the stake was in charge of our meetings, it felt like a holiday to our family!  Mike went to conference with us and was home the rest of the day!  We loved it!  That Sunday was beautiful and we took advantage of the weather and advantage of having our daddy home and went for a nice walk on the trails behind our house.  We were tossing a football, collecting leaves, climbing at the climbing spot and just enjoying being together.

I loved watching these two in this field.  Mike would throw the ball as high as he could and Amelia would squeal with excitement.  It was pretty darn cute!

Love these kids, love being together, love being outside without phones, computers, TV's, etc.  I'll take more days like this!

More Life

These pictures seem a little random, but I have to put them somewhere!
I love this picture!  Reid has such a tender heart and he adores his little brother.  He was so proud giving Clark his first bottle.

Somehow this is the only picture of Mike's birthday.  It's like we had a three week old fifth child and life was a little crazy at the time.  The boys were out of school on Mike's birthday so we went to the land of cereal and brought Mike lunch.  The kids were so proud of the gifts they had for their daddy.  Andrew made a dream catcher out of tinfoil, twine, and tulle.  Tanner made Mike his very own "human" out of felt and cotton fabric.  Reid gave Mike one of his favorite Lego characters.  We went to Red Robin to celebrate and the kids thought it was so special to sit down and have someone serve food to us.  It was the perfect birthday celebration for where we were with a newborn!
Miss Amelia can play forever in the bathtub and sweet Clark hangs out while she plays in the water.

I love capturing some of those first baby smiles.  Mike has always said that newborns are like a fire, you can sit and look at them forever.  I love sitting on the couch and holding my new babies, knowing they grow quickly and the newness is gone before I know it.
Amelia is such a helper.  Not sure Clark appreciated her help on this one, but she was so sweet with him.  She was gentle, spoke so sweetly to him, but I still think it wasn't the most comfortable bath he's had.
