Dear Checkout Lady at Sam's Club,
When I approach your lane with a cart packed with groceries, two crying babies, and a whining two year old, please don't tell me that having twins is easier than your two children who were 18 months apart! While for some crazy reason it may be true, now is not the time to discuss it.
Regards,
The mother of three children two and under. :)

Hasler Family Reunion 2008
Our last week in Colorado was spent at the Rocky Mountain Mennonite Camp where we had our first Hasler family reunion. It was great! The accomodations were perfect for our big family. We played games, went fishing, ate junk food, celebrated mom and dad's 40th wedding anniversary, and had fun just being together. We all enjoyed it so much, we've reserved another week in 2010!
ps- We missed having Josh and Whit there. Josh just started a new job and wasn't able to take time off. We'll see them next time and hopefully before then!

How do you know...
How do you know you have the world's best neighbor? When you arrive home from a five week long trip and find fresh flowers from her garden on your table, fruit on the counter, and a breakfast casserole and OJ in your fridge-- that's when you know the kindest person in the world lives across the street.
Yes, we're home. More posts and pics of our last week of vacation are yet to come. I know you're all dying to see and hear about everything!

Reunion
Aahhh, there is something so exciting, refreshing, and giddy about getting together with friends who knew me when I had braces and huge eyebrows!! Friends whom I've laughed hysterically with, shared secrets with, and have done stupid things with--like telling my freshman biology class my mom had a fake leg, making music videos, eating a half gallon of ice cream in one sitting, and going to stake dances in the craziest of attire! I love these girls!
Torrey just got married a year ago and brought her cute husband, Mark, along for the weekend. Annie is in town visiting her family for a couple of weeks while her husband finishes an internship in Iowa (her new favorite place!!). I'm so happy our time here has overlapped. Brooke is amazingly successful at anything she does. She took time off from her super busy work schedule to join us for the weekend.
We enjoyed a lovely dinner Friday night, thanks to the darling Clawsons, and then chatted and laughed into the night. It was such a treat to be with these girls again!
The reason for our gathering...our 10 year reunion! Brooke and Annie graduated a year before us and so they didn't join us for the offical reunion event. Mark and Torrey were kind enough to let me tag along that night and I have to say we had a great time! We stopped for Louie's cheesey bread that was our favorite in high school and it still hits the spot. Then on to the reunion.
Torrey loves a costume party and decided to wear her zebra print shirt! (wink, wink)
We had a great time that evening, but agreed that the best reunion was with the girls. Sunday morning we met up at McConkie's home for breakfast. Monique joined us there before she leaves for Hungary for the next three years with her family! It was such a fun weekend that I didn't want it to end. I was sad to say goodbye, but we all agreed this isn't the last reunion we'll have-- and next time, Ann Dee with definitely be there! We missed you, girl!

More Fun!
Sorry for the overload of pictures, but we've been away from Mike for three weeks and he enjoys seeing his kiddos and what we're up to.
Last week we had a great time at a ground fountain at the mall near my parent's home. Andrew was a little hesitant at first, but after Nana showed him what to do he was all over it!
Notice that Reid is waving in the picture. He loves to wave at people, especially his Papa!

After runing in the fountain we played on some unique toys. I love how my mom is still such a kid at heart (actually, both of my parents are!). The ball she is sitting on spins around. She was spinning for a while and had to lay down because she got so dizzy!
We also made another trip to Trout Haven, where we did more fishing, roasted marshmallows, and spent the night. They kids had a great time, and so did I!
