Spring!
Spring is here and we couldn't be happier! We have been outside for walks, on the swing, and breaking in the grill! We had some friends over for dinner the other night and I took these pics of Andrew and can hardly believe how big he has gotten. Also, we're definitely going to miss our back yard when we move!

Doesn't he look so big getting into this lawn chair by himself!

I've still got it!
Last week I was somewhat disappointed when I put away my skinny jeans and put on my "transition" jeans. I'd rather go from regular clothes to maternity because then you look pregnant, not just big. Anyway, for the sake of my comfort, and the comfort of my two growing babes, it really needed to happen! In my "transition" jeans, I loaded Andrew in the stroller and decided to take him for a walk to enjoy our great weather. While crossing a major street some crazy college student hung his head out the window and wistled at me (the joys of living in a college town). I never quite understand why men do this. Do they really think anything will come of their boorish behavior? Anyway, I had to laugh...outloud! First of all, did he not notice that I was pushing a stroller? Second, I know I'm not huge yet, but I'm pregnant with twins! I think the only man who finds my life situation attractive is my honey! I had a good laugh!

The Rumors are True!
Some of you may have heard whisperings, postings, or unconcealed announcements in my father's Sunday school class. Maybe you've just noticed my serious pudginess as of late, and I thank you for tactfully not commenting. Some people have known for a while and so it's probably time for me to confirm all rumors that we are indeed expecting child #2... and #3!! Twins!! Mike and I are so excited!! We are thrilled and feel so blessed. As many of you know, it takes much effort and many miracles from on high for us to get to this point. We are grateful to have two additions to our family due Oct. 5th!

Wicked!
For so long I have been dying to see the new broadway performance of Wicked! When I realized that I was only an hour+ away from downtown Chicago (or so I thought), Rachael and I had to get tickets! Unfortunately I left the tickets in Nebraska! Mike came to the rescue and sent them Express Mail and we were so relieved when they arrived just in time.
We arranged for good friends to watch our kids and Rachael's husband, Marshall, was a great sport to come home and put four kiddos to bed on his own. We left many projects, a messy kitchen, four crazy kids and headed to Chicago! We caught dinner at a little bakery and got to the show just in time.
We loved the show! It was everything I dreamed of, and more! The performance was excellent and we had such a fantastic evening in Chicago!

Sisters, sisters, there were never such devoted sisters!
Sorry we've dropped off the blogging world (again), but Andrew and I have been in Wisconsin visiting my sister Rachael and her family. We're having a great time, and it's especially fun to visit since Mike and I used to live here.
I love my Sister Rachael! Laughter comes in good doses when I'm with her, and this trip has been no exception! A couple of nights ago we went to her Enrichment and she had the best social faux pas that made me laugh so hard I could barely breath! Since she has just moved into the area she hadn't met her visiting teaching companion, so she responsibly sought her out that evening. While in mid conversation about visiting teaching Rach noticed this women had very small hands. The contrast between her own big hands (a trait we share) and this women's little hands was so great she couldn't help but comment on them. Rachael said, "You have such petite hands!"
The women responded by saying, "Well, yes..." and held up her hands. Rach then realized she only had four fingers on each hand! She was so embarassed!! I'm laughing just typing the story!
Anyway, we're having a great time and will be here until next Monday. Here are some pics of Andrew and Hailey while the other girls are at school.
