Mike and I saw the Lion King for our first anniversary while living north of LA. We loved the show! It was such an amazing experience and when we realized how much Andrew loved animals we knew we wanted to take him if the show ever came to where were were living. Well, the stars aligned and Lion King came to SLC in September. We planned to go with grandma and grandpa, but grandma had a last minute funeral to attend, so our cousin, Miriam, joined us. We were so sad Mike's mom couldn't come, but it was such fun to see Lion King through the eyes of two four-year-olds!
Andrew was in awe! There were times I was watching him rather than the show, because I could tell it was just overwhelming magical to him.
My dear friend Natalie and her husband went to the show the next week and her VIP tickets got them Lion King hats and books. Natalie was so sweet to give her hat and book to Andrew and it is such a special treasure. He loves to show it to others and wears his hat constantly!
It was a wonderful experience and definitely an event to remember!
