Mike's finger

For all those who laughed at Mike's finger/lips/bug eyes we have an update! A friend at church, who happens to be a doctor, said it wasn't just a sprain. He said it looked more like he had torn the tendon and there was a good chance he would need surgery to have it reattached! We had some help from another friend to get him into a doctor and have it x-rayed ASAP. Luckily, the whole tendon didn't tear and he was fitted for a brace he has to wear for 6-8 weeks, which will most likely prevent him from having surgery. We're grateful for the diagnoses, but unfortunately Mike won't be able to play basketball during this time. Even more unfortunately, he can't do dishes either!
