Colorado Trip
After Costa Rica, we headed home (to my home!) to CO for a week visit with my parents. It was the most relaxed and enjoyable family vacation we've had in the last two years! So relaxing, that we didn't even mind that we tried to leave, drove through 45 min of blinding snow only to find out I70 was closed and we needed to stay one more day.
We spent a lovely day at Trout Haven where the boys shot papa's BB gun and went fishing. Each of our boys caught a fish and were SO excited!

Andrew was too anxious for papa to meet us at the lake with the fishing poles, so he made a fishing pole of a stick and weed while he waited. Too cute!

All of our kids were so excited to roam outside, but Amelia especially loved being outside, getting dirty and dinking around.
We were lucky enough to be in CO for Mother's Day and enjoyed a lovely dinner and Texas sheet cake for dessert.
The boys had a great time in the backyard, but loved playing in the window well! Here they are pouring dirt on themselves thinking no one can see them.

Of course we had to make a trip to Garden of the Gods. We loved taking little hikes and watching rock climbers.

My mom recently had a few foot surgeries and a friend of theirs loaned them this motorized wheelchair. Our last day in town, each of the kids got a speedy ride through the house on nana's chair.
