We also played lots of games! It seems like there was always kids playing Connect 4, Blokus, Chutes and Ladders, Candy Land, Operation etc. I love that our kids are getting old enough to play games and enjoy them.
Andrew is our creative guy and he had everyone making "star ships" and then they raced them through the house. They drew all over their boxes and poked holes in them so light could shine out of the boxes. So creative!
Of course there was lots of play in the snow (a post dedicated to sledding is coming).
Mike gets in the snow and he turns into a little boy, seriously! He throws snow balls, builds igloos, and makes snowmen. He truly loves it.
Please notice that this snowman has a piece of wood wedged under him to help stabilize the poor fellow. Moments after taking this picture he tipped over, it was pretty funny.

We brought a gingerbread house kit and had fun eating more of the candy than decorating with it! Ha! What can I expect with five kids to one adult and loads of candy?!
What's Christmas break without an occasional movie in the afternoon. Mike tells the best Narnia stories to our boys each night. I actually started these stories, but Mike is so creative that he blows my dinky stories out of the water. Mike is the story teller in our family, I read books. Anyway, we finally let our kids watch Narnia and they loved it!
I feel like Amelia grew up so much this trip. The stairs in this house were wide and deep and she really got good at doing up and down them. She also cut some teeth and it seemed her gummy grin became a toothy grin in just a weeks time. Shel melts our hearts, even when she throws her food off her tray!
For some reason this picture makes me laugh! Nana had a couple of Barbie dolls that she brought and Bekah and Miriam were so excited to open them. Andrew loves being with his cousins and although Barbies aren't his forte, he hung out while they opened them up and got excited with them. They have such a cute bond, I love these kids!

We also went to the local rec center and played basketball, bowling, badminten, hula hoop contests and eventually ended in this room with Yoga balls and gymnastics pads. We had a great time playing dodge ball and wrestling.
